Juneteenth: A Celebration of Freedom (1865-2024): 159 Years of Strife, Struggle, and Success

To commemorate and celebrate June 19, 1865, a historic date in American History, the Richie Nick Band performs songs symbolic of the pain and joy of that period. Hear “Mercy Mercy Mercy” written by Joe Zawinul, “Moanin” written by Bobby Timmons, “Song for My Father” by Horace Silver, “Overjoyed” by Stevie Wonder and more. This program is funded by New York State Senator Toby Ann Stavisky.
